I was born prematurely and diagnosed with cerebral palsy and epilepsy  I've been in a wheelchair for most of my life.  
My grandmother has always encouraged me to live by this scripture, Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". My grandfather always told me that sometimes in order to make a thing work you have to modify it. So this has been my life. 
My mother, my grandmother and my grandfather always encouraged me to do whatever,  I really want to do and to never give up on myself. I have challenges but I am capable. 
I love to write and writing poetry is a form of therapy for me. I found that sometimes in order to fully express myself I had to write it down. So in this book, I have expressed myself through my poems and my poems have been healing for me. In this book, I have expressed how life has felt in different situations and circumstances. I am a woman with hopes and dreams that I am working to realize. This book is an expression of my journey.
